Closing Out "2008"

I am happy to report that both boys are asleep in their own beds for the past hour or so. Let's hope it lasts for a few more hours! Because I haven't been able to post for a few weeks, I thought I would now fill you in on the recent events in our lives. We had a very nice Christmas and as always, the boys were blessed with an abundance of gifts! Joseph had asked Santa for a Spiderman jet, and a blue Jeep vehicle. Well, he was so excited about the jet and likes playing with it. He was happy when he saw the Jeep and jumped in right away! However, upon trying to drive it, he became a little uneasy. He doesn't want to drive it so much these days, so I hope he'll give it another try again soon. He is a 3 year old driving without a license, so I suppose being cautious is good, right? HA! Just kidding... He also received many fun new toys, a bike and some clothes!
Jake seemed to enjoy his 1st Christmas too! He is such a happy little guy. He received toys, clothes, toy boxes and a swing for our outside playset.
Joseph is so into his wardrobe these days and it's killin' me! Everyday, he wants to wear his Spiderman or Batman Underoos. These are his treasured jammies and he really thinks it is appropriate to wear them all the time! His other favorites are his "running suits", which are coordinating sets of athletic-style pants and shirts. His new LSU set is at the top of the list! Seriously, I think people are beginning to think that he has no other clothes available.
After Christmas, we headed to Sanibel Island with Brian's family. The weather was terrific and we enjoyed the getaway. It was a little more crowded this year than on previous visits. Joseph had an especially good time playing with his cousins, Abby & Olivia, at the beach. He also practiced his swimming skills in the pool. His swim lessons really made him confident and he is moving like a fish!
Well, I think I am going to call it a night now. It's getting late and my boys are early risers! It will be 6:30 am really soon. Bye!
