Another week has flown by! As I write this, I can hardly believe that I have been "retired" for six weeks already. Joseph and I are getting into more of a rountine and it's been really nice to spend more time with him.
My pal Christie arrived yesterday to spend a long weekend with us. It's nice to catch up with old friends. Also, I had no idea how good she was at catching lizards! I walked into Joseph's room to put away some laundry and I saw the uninvited visitor on the window blinds. Of course, he had to go! With much skill and an old towel, Christie rescued the little guy and returned him to the outdoors. The whole time this was taking place we were laughing, screaming and jumping. All I can say is that I sure hope this was the same lizard that entered our house a few days ago and not a new one that came inside. We hosted our jewelry party tonight for my girlfriends. It was a lot of fun and we raised a nice donation for Claire's pump. I am very grateful to all of my family and friends who were able to make this happen. Brian did double-duty babysitting tonight for Joseph & Kathryn. Maybe he should pick up some extra hours since the kids have so much fun with him! When they returned to our house, they indulged on our Halloween pumpkin cookies. Yes, they are from Pillsbury. I have not mastered the art of baking from scratch yet! I think they were trying to see who could eat the most! It was funny. I didn't think their little tummies could handle that much junk. Anyway, I think they will sleep really well, or at least I hope so! Talking about sleep, I need some too. Later-
