Busy Making Memories

Wow. Last post was published in July. It's now September and I missed a whole month of blogging. I wish I could figure out how to squeeze more into each day!
We kicked off September by celebrating Joseph's 5th birthday at Orlando Science Center, which was amazing! It was a space-themed party and it was truly "out of this world"! The kids loved making green gooey slime, watching film canisters explode like rockets and having their own chance to jump/launch a foam rocket as far as they could! Joseph felt like he was "King for a day" and loved every minute of it! I find it still hard to believe he is five years old already, although I can barely remember my life before him. We had the pleasure of visiting with our family members that traveled from Illinois and Louisiana to enjoy the festivities with us.
School started and Joseph is so proud to be in Kindergarten this year. He even mentioned that he wants to help us with chores now because that is what "Kindergarteners" do! Let's see if I can hold him to it! I asked him today what chore he thought he would like to do and he said laundry. Awesome. I could certainly use a helper! It's really exciting to see how much he is learning. He also has homework now too!
Brian and I also had been planning a big surprise for several months, which was to take the boys on the Disney Cruise Line! It was absolutely wonderful! Everyone had a great time and I can't wait to do it again next year. One of the highlights was watching the Saints/Vikings game on the big screen on Deck 10 under the stars on our first evening. Joseph loved the Oceaneer Club which totally rocks with fun programs for the kids. Jake took more naps than he has in his lifetime!

Pictures coming soon-
