Happy Easter!
Good morning and Happy Easter!
What a wonderful weekend it has been! The Easter Bunny rode into town yesterday on a shiny, red convertible accompanied by the mayor! He led the kids on a parade and then the boys raced to find all of the eggs he had hidden! We dyed some eggs, left out some carrots and greens and waited to see what he left for us!
Jake woke up and was talking to me until he caught a glimpse of the filled basket of candy behind me! He stopped in mid-sentence and has been consuming jelly beans and gummy worms like he has never seen them before! Oh my! At least, they are organic types of candies with no artificial colors or ingredients! And yes, they are still yummy!!!
Joseph is still asleep. Can you believe it? The bunny also brought them new plush toys from Sea World, which they had seen on our last visit there. He also wrote them sweet notes that will one day go in their scrapbooks, if they are ever completed! Ha! Seriously, who can find the time for such a big task? I'm lucky if I get five minutes to myself each day!
Time to get ready for church! Remember the real reason for Easter! Have a wonderful day!

Tick..tick..tick..

Last week was Spring Break for the boys and we really had lots of fun. We visited DinoWorld in the booming town of Plant City and we all had a dino-mite time! Sorry, I couldn't resist! Joseph is quite the Dinosaur expert. He remembered many of the facts that I told him as I read each and every sign to him. I was amazed at his ability to listen and recall information WHEN he wants too! I commented to him that I was impressed that he knew so much and he told me that his brain was his greatest weapon! Seriously, where does he get this stuff?
Grandma and Papa Koziol also came to visit us and the boys were really happy to have them here. Papa especially has learned the way to the boys' hearts---with gummi bears. :)
School is back in session and Jake could not wait to return to see his friends and teachers. He was so excited to bring in his Star Wars guys for Show & Tell.
I've also picked up a second job! Yes, it is my second job because my first job involves running a household filled with munchkins who are kind of like little gremlins. Remember the movie from 1984? My job initially started as a consulting gig in which I was providing staff training for a local restaurant. I really enjoyed it so I decided to stay on board and pick up server shifts once a week. It's fun to be back in the "action" and feels like I have part of my identity back. There's life before kids---where I had favorite shows that were not on the Nickelodeon Channel, where Mac & Cheese was not a part of every meal and when I talked to grown-ups every day. Now, after kids, I feel more like a maid, taxi driver and drill sergeant. Don't get me wrong, I know I am lucky to have the chance to spend as much time with the boys as I do and I do believe they will appreciate one day (at least I hope so! ), but it's just crazy sometimes. It's certainly not perfect, but it's a good life and we're happy. So, I don't know that I would have gone searching for this opportunity, but I feel blessed that it fell into my lap. I hear the laundry calling me so I must go now and continue my work on the mystery of the missing black socks...
