Hello! Today, Joseph and I enjoyed lunch with his classmates after the school day ended. We had to bring our own lunches and the teachers supplied dessert. The dessert was sort of like dirt pie, full of chocolate pudding, oreos and gummy worms. We enjoyed this treat!
Over the last week, we have had some visitors. Oma and Opa were here and Joseph had a great time staying overnight with them at the hotel. I'm thinking he felt like he was on vacation too! We had a chance to go to the Magic Kingdom for a few hours. Joseph was really eager to drive the racecars on the speedway. As soon as we had gotten into the cars, the sky opened up and it began to rain. We were stuck driving around the track and there was not much we could do to avoid it! So, we were soaked for the next couple of hours.
Grandma Koziol came for a visit as Oma and Opa were heading back home. We actually got a cold front while she was here so it wasn't the warm weather she had hoped for! Joseph enjoyed playing blocks and making cookies with her. She also took Jake for a walk everyday and he was bundled up like he lived up north! It was quite a sight!
Anyway, it was nice to have some company and help with the boys.
Joseph has a new book, The Elf on the Shelf, which is about a little elf that sits on a shelf in your home and watches over the children. His job is to report to Santa if the child has been naughty or nice. Each night, the elf (we named him Eli) returns to the North Pole and updates The Boss (Santa). The next morning, he is back home with us and in a new spot in the house. You cannot touch Eli, but you can talk to him if you like. As for as Eli's observations, it's not looking too promising for Joseph. He is totally defiant these days. I'm not sure if it is still part of the transition of having a new brother in the family, but it's really difficult. So, I'm praying, reading a new book, asking friends for help, praying some more and hoping this too shall pass---SOON.
Gotta run now... will try to post some pictures later tonight.
