Although this is a very somber day for our country, it was a very "happy day" for Joseph and me. It was the very first day of my retirement (ha!) and the beginning of our new adventure. I'd say I just began a new full-time job but one that is much more rewarding. We said goodbye to Grandma & Papa as they returned to Chicago. We went to visit Baby Rhodes and had fun spending time with the Brassil family.
Later in the day, we checked into the Ritz-Carlton for a mini-getaway! Joseph is certainly becoming accustomed to the life of luxury! We had a terrific dinner and fell asleep to a Wiggles video. Looking forward to playing in the pools tomorrow.
