Catching Up

Another week has come to an end. Last week, we spent a few days with Oma before she returned home. We had a fun playdate with some of the kids from our community, went to see Mickey and attended storytime later in the week. He drove the Indy cars for the first time and loved it. We also had a chance to check out a new park with my friend Laurel.
Joseph is still protesting naps, unless you can get him to fall asleep in the car. At night, it's the same thing. After countless nights of trying to get him to sleep, we have resorted to going to bed with him or driving him around in the car until he is asleep. They say, "whatever, works, right?" This is what seems to be working... This family bed is for the birds. We've been taking turns sleeping on the couch or in the other room so at least one of us can sleep in peace.
His speech is amazing and he is constantly coming out with words and phrases that crack us up! Some words need to be eliminated from his vocabulary too. Believe it or not, he learned the word "stupid" from several Disney movies and likes to use it when he is mad about something. I couldn't figure out where he got it from, but discovered it in his favorite movie (Cars) and the Lion King.
Brian has been working hard on his presentation for a big conference in town. It was yesterday afternoon and he said it went great.
The big game is tonight - GO GIANTS! I know I may be upsetting the PATS fans, but I am rooting for the underdog. I'm over this Tom Brady media hype. Maybe we will even get to see cousin Abby's commercial in the pre-game show.
Brian got a free popcorn machine, wine table and margarita machine - all of which was about to be discarded. The popcorn machine is like something you would see at an amusement park. He plans on selling bags to the neighborhood once he is up and running! Personally, I cannot wait until July so I can try out the margarita machine. When he sets it up, I will certainly take a picture to post online. Maybe he can bring in a few extra dollars every month with this gig.
Our next visitor is Pop Pop and he arrives on Friday evening for the weekend!
Two days until Mardi Gras!
Bye!
