Our trip to the beach was terrific! It was a quick getaway but very relaxing! One of the best things was sleeping in, even if that means only sleeping until 8 a.m.! We had dinner with some of Brian's fellow wine colleagues and also enjoyed sampling some of the food/wine during the Grand Tasting Event.
Joseph was in great hands for the weekend too. He spent the day with Pam, Brian, Ben & Jonah and enjoyed a trip to the playground and some ice cream! He greeted Oma later on that evening when she arrived and then had a nice dinner with Vee, Paul & Kathryn. It was quite a team effort to make everything come together in order for the trip to take place. We are truly grateful to have such wonderful friends and family! I am really touched for their efforts to "make it happen!" As many of you know, the trip was altered slightly due to the passing of my Uncle Johnny in Louisiana. Unfortunately, he had stomach cancer and then leukemia and was only 62. He was always very full of life and was a great man. He will be missed.
On Monday, we celebrated Oma's birthday! We visited the Magic Kingdom and had a nice dinner at Jiko. However, the day was kind of crazy for me. On the way to the park, a lady on the monorail put down her coffee cup and it spilled all over my bottom. Needless to say, I was not amused. I was wet and it looked like I had a big accident in my jeans. Upon entering the park, my soda sprayed all over my shirt! Finally, we parked the stroller under a tree (do you know what's coming?) while we went to Tom Sawyer Island. When we came back, there was bird poop ALL over it! Anyway, the day ended with our enjoyable dinner!
Everything seems to be going well for Baby #2 (no official name yet)! I can feel some of his movements now, primarily at night.
Joseph is also registered for his new school in August! He seems excited and I hope it will work out well too!
Here are some recent photos! Catch you later!
