Papa's birthday was yesterday (Friday) --- Happy Birthday Papa! Hope your day was wonderful!
Joseph's first visit to the dentist was this week and it went very well. No cavities! What a relief! They did say that we should not give him those yummy fruit snacks because they are really hard to remove with brushing and can cause tooth decay. His pain was caused by a few sores underneath his tongue. Thankfully, he is feeling much better now.
On Thursday, Pop Pop came in for a visit. We attended Open House at Joseph's preschool that evening. It was really great! The teachers are so warm and friendly. It appears that Joseph is quite the comedian too! Apparently, each morning Ms. Karen asks about weather and the days of the week. She mentioned that Joseph always tells her that it's raining, even when it's sunny. He says it with a chuckle and she thinks it funny. We learned about their daily activities and the things that they love to do (arts & crafts and playground time).
This morning, Joseph told us that he wanted help opening his bank because he wanted to use the money to buy a convertible! Wouldn't that be great? I imagine he'll be a few nickels short...
I think this came about because Pop Pop used our van to get back to his hotel one night. Joseph was curious as to where the van had gone and when it would be back. I told him that Pop Pop had it and he would be bringing it back in a little bit. I mentioned that he shouldn't worry because we could always get a convertible if Pop Pop kept the van!
Today, we went swimming at the hotel and then had an early dinner at Disney. The boys had a busy day and we didn't want to keep them out too late. Now, Brian and Jake are awaiting the start of the Cubs game. Cross your fingers that they win this game!
Ah, Jake. Don't know what I am going to do with this little guy. He cries so much in the car and I don't know what else to try. We tried a new car seat, placed a mirror in front of him and even put on the Baby Einstein tunes! Nothing is working. He can go on for a long time too; thirty-five minutes on the way to the airport the other day. It's terrible. I may resort to never leaving the house, unless it's absolutely necessary.
Well, I am going to try to get some sleep before the midnight (or 2 a.m.) feeding. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
