I can hardly believe it's been a week since my last post. The days all run together and it is sometimes not easy to find five minutes to myself! We just returned from the beach and are having a quiet afternoon at home. Our mini-getaway didn't turn out as well as I had anticipated. In fact, it was pretty crummy. Joseph has not been feeling well now for a couple of days and it's taken quite a toll on him. He says his mouth hurts and from what I can tell, he appears to be getting new teeth. It's sad because he has been crying so much.
Jake is doing fine, but still HATES riding in the car. I just don't understand why it bothers him so much, but I tell you that he has a good pair of lungs on him! The hotel was ok, but the town looked deserted. Kind of like the town of Radiator Springs in the movie CARS...
All in all, it was a nice attempt for a birthday weekend. Maybe next year will be better...
