Happy Belated Birthday Pop Pop!

Actually, Pop Pop's birthday was last Tuesday and I was so busy that I did not have time to post a message here wishing him a wonderful day! We did talk to him on his special day and we hope he has another great year ahead of him.
It seems so crazy that the month of March is half over already! Where does the time go? This past week was a little tough for us. I started out with a bit of a head cold and then Jake managed to catch a virus that consisted of a high fever for over 3 days. The fever finally subsided and now it seems like a yucky cold is bothering him. He still manages to have a smile on his face during the day and is a happy camper as long as you're holding him. I would think that my arms would look awesome from lifting and carrying him all the time, but no such luck! I took him to the doctor and he weighs just about 20 pounds (19 pounds and 11 ounces to be exact)!
Joseph learned about farm animals this week and his school arranged for a petting farm to come spend some time with the children. They loved it! He told me that he held a tiny chick, petted a rabbit and told me that a small goat was called a "kid". For those of you out there that may know how "germ-phobic" I am, I did manage to survive this day without having a breakdown and he really enjoyed himself. When we got home, I asked him to wash his hands and he told me that Ms. Karen already used sanitizer on them. It was especially cute to hear him say the word sanitizer. We are so happy with his school and all of the wonderful people that take such good care of him. He is doing so well and he is learning quite a bit about making good choices. One of the best things is that he really takes an interest in going to chapel and loves having us read him stories from his bible before bed.
We enjoyed a few playdates this week and look forward to more next week! If I don't get a chance to post in the next couple of days, we wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day! I liked this Irish quote, so I wanted to share it:
"May you have all the happiness and luck that life can hold, and at the end of all your rainbows may you find a pot of gold!"
