We spent Christmas Eve by attending the Children's Mass at church and then visiting with our friends at the Brassil's Annual Christmas Eve Party! Santa even made a guest appearance! When we got home, Joseph sprinkled the reindeer food on the lawn and prepared cookies for Santa. Unfortunately, he passed out before we could read "The Night Before Christmas" to him.
Christmas 2009 was a great time for our family! The boys were so excited about all of the things that Santa brought them as well as all the gifts from the family. They really gathered up many wonderful presents!!! I think I'll have as much fun playing with some of them as they will!
We enjoyed a wonderful meal on Christmas day with our friends, Claudia & Paul. The food and company really added to this special day.
The day after Christmas we decided to check out"ICE"at the Gaylord Palms Resort. It was FREEZING!!! It is only 9 degrees inside! Two million pounds of ice went into making all of the sculptures and carvings. It's really pretty awesome! We dressed in warm clothes and they provide a parka to each person. Regardless, we were still very cold. Joseph was downright miserable and kept stating that he wanted to return to Florida! He was not into it and didn't even want to go on the slides that were completely made out of ice. Finally, he did go down it but demanded on leaving afterwards! Fortunately, that was the last part of the exhibit. Jake seemed to enjoy it although he did not like the hat from the coat on his head. Brian gave him his Chicago Blackhawk winter cap and he was much happier!
The next day, we headed to Sanibel for some fun in the sun...
