Where did the time go?

Wow!  I can't believe my last post was on February 9th.  The days have been flying by and one simply runs right into another!   It's a little late, but I'd like to send out belated birthday wishes to my cousin Angela, a faithful blog follower, and to Oma.  Brian has had to travel quite a bit this month, so I'm completely worn out by the time our boys go to sleep.

I've joined a new Mom's Group and am enjoying meeting other ladies and their children!  They are a really great group and many of the children are boys.   The weather has been so cold here lately that we haven't had many outdoor playdates but have found meeting at the bookstore works just as well!

I had a Thirty-One home party recently and had a great turnout!  Thirty-One is a company that has some of the CUTEST products for women, teens and young kids:  thermal totes, organizing bags, utility totes, purses, etc.  And, everything can be personalized, which I love!!!  Everyone loved the items too!
In fact, I had been tossing around the idea of becoming an Independent Consultant for Thirty-One for a few months. After the positive feedback from my group of friends and the flexibility of doing this type of business, I decided to jump in and give it a try!   I'm excited and will be hosting a party for my friend Lori in about two weeks!  If you have a chance to look at the website, you can view the products at www.mythirtyone.com/emilykoziol.   If anyone wants an actual catalog in order to view the items, just let me know and I can mail one out!

Last weekend, I headed to Miami with the boys to meet up with Brian.  We enjoyed our quick getaway and we were also thrilled to spend time with our great friends, Jennifer and Caroline, that live in the area.  Brian had to work at the South Beach Food & Wine Fest.  Tough gig, right?
Jennifer and Caroline took us to the Miami Metrozoo for a really fun day.  It looked like the weather was not going to cooperate, but we lucked out!  The zoo is really beautiful and it is huge!  We were there about four hours and we didn't see everything!  The kids had a great time and loved being able to run and play with one another.  Jake and Caroline are very close in age, about six weeks apart to be exact, so maybe we'll have a budding romance in the future!  Caroline's daddy is also a Master Sommelier so I imagine that there would be lots of good wine around!
On Sunday, the boys were up as soon as the sun came up, so we headed out for breakfast and for some fun on the beach.  It was 50 degrees and very windy, but they had loads of  fun running and chasing the seagulls.
Later in the day, I took the boys to see Jennifer and Caroline at their new home for lunch.   Their backyard is like a Floridian paradise with all kinds of palm trees.  Very appealing!

Jake's vocabulary is increasing, but his new favorite word is "mine".  Imagine how much Joseph likes hearing that, especially when Jake takes one of his toys!   He loves playing on our neighbors' trampoline and can do a somersault!  He's a character and I think he likes his treats even more than Joseph does!

I think that's about it on our end.  I'm cooking Sweet & Saucy Pork Chops for dinner this evening in the slow cooker and it smells yummy.  It's time for lunch and then to pick up Joseph.

Take care!  Hope to be better about the blogging!
