Well, we don't know either! I just returned from having the ultrasound done and it was really great. Because I am only between 12 and 13 weeks, our tech said it was too early to tell. I have had other ladies tell me that they were told, but she said one person may say one thing while someone else has a different opinion. In that case, she mentioned that it would be up to you to determine who you side with! She was terrific and made it a good experience. Much better than the experience we had 2.5 years with Joseph. That tech was pretty grumpy. Our tech this morning told me that I would have another ultrasound in about 6 weeks and that would be the one where we could find out. We could see two arms and two legs, the head and the body. The heart rate was at 136. They also took some blood today and I suppose there is more to come. In fact, we headed to the doctor for my second appointment and they had to take more! I feel like a pin cushion today. I've gained only 2 pounds since my last visit but I feel like I my belly is getting quite large already. I guess it's taking a different shape. We got to hear the heartbeat at this point and it was going strong at 149. All appears to be going well, except that I don't feel all that terrific.
Check this out: they gave me the ultrasound pics on a CD. I put pictures on CD's all the time, but I thought this was particularly cool. I'm going to try to upload one for all to see.
So, anybody want to cast their opinion: boy or girl? Today, I'm feeling the boy vibe. Joseph wants to name the baby "Sheriff". I guarantee that will not make my Top 10!
