Joseph and I had a busy week visiting with friends, swimming and enjoying the warm weather! We spent some time with Laurel and Cassidy at the pool, which we both enjoyed despite Joseph's big fall from the water slide onto the concrete. I must say that was a pretty scary experience and I feel really lucky that he was OK. I was also grateful that Laurel was able to spring out the pool so quickly because I was having difficulty with my large belly.
Later in the week, we had lunch with Lori and Kamryn and a playdate with Elena. We set up the small pool and sprinkler in the yard and they had lots of fun splashing around.
I was looking forward to the WineQuest event on Saturday, where Brian was speaking along with Loren. Unfornately, I developed a pretty bad stomach bug and needed to spend the whole day in bed. Vee came to the rescue and helped me out tremendously by watching Joseph so I could actually take care of me, which was very much appreciated. And, thank you to Pam who brought me a much needed Coke, per the direction of the doctor. I had a refrigerator stocked with Caffeine-free Coke, Sprite, water, Pepsi, but I was told it had to be a Coke. This is pretty ironic, because I always have Coke available. Anyway, it helped calm my stomach.
Thankfully, we are getting closer to the big day when Baby Jacob arrives! Today is the 36-week mark and although I know the 30th is not far away, it seems like an eternity. My latest visit to the doctor on Wednesday revealed that all my stats are good: blood pressure, baby's heartbeat, tummy measurement and weight gain of another 2 pounds. Now, I must see her weekly until the delivery.
I feel much better than yesterday, but I'm going to continue to rest today while Brian is home. They just headed out to the pool for a swim.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend-
