Hi there everyone! Wow! Time is flying by these days and Santa will be here so soon! It's an exciting and special time of the year. We've did some decorating outside the house and have our Christmas tree up, so it's finally starting to look more like Christmas! The weather has been great, with the temps in the high 60's to mid 70's. No snow flurries here! Oddly enough, it did snow at home in Louisiana! Pretty funny...
Still no computer over here. I must put shopping for a new one on my "to do" list. It feels really strange to not have access to the web, email, blogging, etc. Seriously, what did we do before the high tech world of communicating at all hours of the day? It's somewhat lonely too, because I now spend more time talking with Joseph about how many snacks he can have today or as he says "this day"! Not to mention, I miss talking with adults (even if it is through email!)
I took Joseph to karate class twice this past week because he wanted to be like Kung Fu Panda. He really enjoyed the first class, but was really afraid or intimidated the second time. I think it would be great for him because he really needs some more activity in his routine. He has so much energy and I think this would be a good outlet.
Last Thursday evening, we attended Joseph's Christmas presentation at school. It was SO cute. He was dressed up as a sheep, complete with a cute black nose. He sang "Jingle Bells" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". It was all preschool-age children, so it was adorable. I took a few video clips and will post them when possible.
Now, on to the Jake update. He's had his first Shiner --black eye. I'm sure you are asking, "how did the baby get a black eye?" I have absolutely no idea. Brian mentioned that he and Joseph bumped their heads together the night before, but neither child even shed a tear. All I can see is that he did it with one of his toys when he was playing on his tummy. It looks much better today, but he looked pretty sad yesterday. He's able to roll over from his back to his tummy and vice versa. Looks like he is working on moving his legs in preparation for crawling. Very exciting!
We went to a holiday party at our friend Nancy's on Saturday and had a really great time. It's always nice to have time to mingle and let the kids run wild! We also had a nice visit with Brian's Aunt Shannon, Uncle Bill & Adam today. They're spending a few days visiting the Mouse and it looks like they will have lots of fun.
Hopefully, I'll be back in touch more frequently. Until next time...
