Hi!
We returned home last night from our trip to New Orleans. We had a great time visiting with everyone! We spent time with my family, did some touristy things in the Quarter, and even had a nice dinner without the boys one night! Everyone especially enjoyed seeing the boys and they had a fun time playing with their cousins. Joseph and Jake had a taste of their first beignets from Cafe Du Monde and Joseph also seemed to like the taste of King Cake. What's not to like, right? :)
My cousin and her husband hosted a nice gathering of the family before we left so we would have a chance to visit and see everyone. Brian and I had dinner at a restaurant by the name of Cochon, which was kind of hip and trendy. The food was tasty, although the creamy grits weren't all that great! However, the andouille sausage and sweet potato pie was tasty and unique.
Take a look at the slideshow for a few pictures. We also planned to take a nice family photo while we were in town, but it didn't work out so well. Jake had a little accident during the photo shoot and wasn't feeling too happy afterwards. He's got a little cut on his eyelid, but seems to be feeling just fine these days.
It's back to school for Joseph tomorrow morning! I'm hoping to squeeze in a nap if all goes well! Good night!
