Running Crazy

It feels like I have not posted in a very long time! Lately, our days have been so busy that it's hard to keep up.
Joseph was out of school last week for their Spring Break holiday. I packed in lots of activities to ensure that we weren't bored! We headed to Cocoa Beach to spend the day with our neighbors at the beginning of the week and we had a really great time! Joseph and Kathryn played in the sand for hours; Jake kept crawling away from us towards the ocean, and Nathan enjoyed just hanging out! I hadn't been to Cocoa in years. The water was much better than I had remembered so I think we will be returning again soon. It's a wonderful daytrip! During our break, we also made the typical weekly run to Target and went to a few different playgrounds. We spent some time with Lori and Kamryn at a playground close to their area and had lots of fun! To wrap up the week, Joseph and I headed to a waterpark at the RonJon Resort while Jake stayed home for some one-on-one time with Daddy. The next day, Brian took Joseph to see the new animated movie, Monsters vs. Aliens for some quality time.
Joseph returned to school on Tuesday and was so excited to see how much his beanstalk had grown! He and his classmates had planted them before the break. We brought it home yesterday afternoon and he is so eager for it to grow more. He checks on it a few times a day and keeps asking me if it grew since the last time! Maybe he's the one with the green thumb in the family!
Last Saturday, I ran in a 5k race with my friend JC. It was something we had talked about so we finally went for it! It was fun and I actually did better than I had anticipated!
Jake is getting really close to being able to walk. He can move from one structure to another while standing and can stand alone too! One of his bottom front teeth just broke through and hopefully the remainder will come out soon.
