Hi!
School is out for the summer break and we are making plans to stay busy! Joseph enjoyed the last few days with his classmates. The teachers organized 'field days', which kept them very active and busy playing outdoor games.
I had a chance to enjoy an evening out on Friday for cocktails and appetizers at Capital Grille. It was wonderful! I think that we should plan a G.N.O. (Girls Night Out) on a regular basis. On Saturday, some friends came over for a BBQ and swimming playdate for the kids. We had a great time and the children played really well together. Our friends have a daughter that is Joseph's age and a younger son that is 2 years old.
Today, we attended the end of the year celebration/graduation service at Joseph's school and then headed over to Jonah's birthday party. Joseph's class and the older class participated by singing for us, which was precious! The service was very nice and we were glad we could make it. We ended up being late for the birthday party, but we were glad we could visit with our friends, even if it was only for a short while. Hopefully, we'll be having lots of summer playdates to spend more time together. While we were at the party, Joseph started telling us that his belly hurt and he fell asleep as soon as we put him in the van. When we got home, I took his temperature, and it was 101.4. You can really tell he is not feeling good. He has been sleeping all afternoon and is still asleep now. Poor little Joe.
Jake is a busy little bee and is all over the place these days. He has said "Da Da" and as you can imagine, Brian is glowing with excitement! I have to admit that I am a little jealous that he said this before "Ma Ma". Wishing everyone a good night!
