Today, was party #3 for Jake! It's been practically a month-long celebration. Party in Chicago, party in Ft. Lauderdale and finally, the party at home.
What a day! After we had been planning a pool party for Jake, we decided mid-week to have the party at Jumping Joey's instead! It was easy breezy and I'm thinking this is the way to go for future events. Just grab the kids, a cake, and show up! No prepping, cooking, cleaning and then repeating it all once the party ends. Love it!
There was lots of bouncing and time for the grownups to chat while the kids had fun! A lunch of pizza and juice was served, but Jake only wanted "CAKE"! His cake was a fire truck, comprised of cupcakes, which was super-cute! Another wonderful job by Publix. I should mention that the red frosting was an absolute MESS and it was everywhere... particularly on the birthday boy! He kind of looked like Elmo afterwards! :) But, fire trucks are red, so it's the way it had to be.
Extra added bonus: Jake fell asleep about 5 minutes into the drive home and I also managed to sneak in a nap too! Score one for the Mommy!
Joseph is way over all of these parties for Jake. So, he is happy that this was the last one and we can now focus on more important things: HIS birthday! (ha ha ha)
I'll get some pics posted before bedtime...
