I'm so glad that the weekend is here! It is awfully gloomy here with lots of rain in the forecast. Yesterday, Joseph and I went joined Lori and Kamryn on a roadtrip to Uncle Donald's Farm. Boy, it was quite the experience, especially for someone so frantic about germs --me! I handled it as best as I could, but there were a few moments that were diffcult to hide my anxiety. As for Joseph, he loved it. He got to see a deer, which he recognized as Bambi! Next, we went on a hayride to feed the cows. Talk about freaking me out. There was this really big cow sticking his head right next to mine in the truck. Joseph was intrigued, but not ready to feed them the hay either. When we returned, the lady at the farm conducted a "meet the animals" session. My little friend didn't want to pet Oscar the pig, but he did pet the sheep and a black bunny. He really liked the bunny and then went over to the other caged bunnies and was asking them, "how you doing in there?" It was funny! Next, the lady brought out a goat and showed us how they milk him. Some of the kids participated, but our Joe was not interested. Then, a baby goat came out and you could take turns feeding him a bottle. Joseph and I sat close together and watched the other people do it. Finally, Joseph liked petting the ponies and throwing dried corn kernels to the chickens. We did have a fun day, but I don't think I will be returning anytime soon!
Later today, we'll be getting ready for Halloween and checking out the parade in our neighborhood. I'll send pictures of this tomorrow. Have a good weekend!
