We had our first appointment with Joseph's new doctor today for his 2-year old checkup. It appears to be a really nice practice and we are very happy with the doctor. Joseph weighed in at 26 pounds, 6 ounces and is 35 inches long! That puts him in the 50th percentile for his height and in the 30th for his weight. The doctor also commented on how well he speaks at this age; especially his ability to put sentences together and the fact that you can understand what he says. Joseph was also a really big boy today and received a flu shot and barely shed a tear. What a champ! I was closing my eyes in preparation but he was very brave.
Fortunately, there weren't any side effects from the shot. However, the little guy decided to take a green crayon and draw a line on our couch this evening. I'm thinking that this may be one of the reasons why people have deemed this age to be "the terrible twos!" Fun, fun, fun... Meanwhile, Brian is out enjoying a fine steak dinner. Oh, but it's work! :)
P.S. Go Cubs!
