On Friday, we spent some time with Stone & Rhodes. We had intended on playing at the park, but the heat was intense. Isn't it October, now? We decided to return home and play indoors instead. Later that day, Joseph helped me pick up some groceries to make dinner. I actually made a pretty good meal of pasta, proscuitto and shrimp. I have been trying to improve my cooking skills now that I am a "domestic engineer". Last night we went to the Food & Wine Festival with the Brassil family. It was crazy busy. Despite the activity, Joseph managed to fall asleep until the boom of the fireworks began. When we got home, I had turned on the TV to look for the Cubs game. I couldn't find it and I think the Phillies were actually playing. Well, Joseph got out of the bed when he heard Brian come home. He came to see the TV and said "Cubs are winning!" with such enthusiasm and happiness. Poor guy - he didn't know that they had already lost to the Diamondbacks.
Geaux Tigers! The LSU Tigers beat the Florida Gators last night. Must be because Joseph wore his LSU shirt to support them. They remain the #1 college team. At least one of the teams from Louisiana can have a winning season! I'm afraid to see what's going to happen today when the Saints face Carolina. Brian is hopeful that the Bears will come away with a victory.
We're going to see Elmo Live today with Kathryn and Vee. We'll fill you in later!
