Well, it has only been four days since my last post, but it feels much longer. I imagine that it's because the days seem endless now. From the wee hours of the morning until it's time to drop at night, there's always something (or someone) that needs your attention. To my surprise, the hardest part of having the two children is actually managing Joseph. He has been increasingly difficult since the arrival of Jake. I anticipated that he would act out or regress in some ways with the arrival of his little brother, but never to this extreme. He can be a real handful. Nothing seems to get through to him. Back to the issue of sleep, he is much more agreeable and manageable when he gets enough sleep at night. He is still "No Nap Joe" and I think he gets so overtired that it only adds to the frustration.
On a good note, he can sing his ABC's and likes to show everybody. He spent the day with Jan yesterday at Downtown Disney and had a great time! He felt special that it was "his day". He even got to eat at his favorite restaurant, McDonald's!
Jake is doing well and still sleeping much of the time. He's slacked up on the shooting of bodily fluids during diaper changes - thank goodness. But today, he actually got himself in the face!
Well, I am exhausted and may resort to taking them for a ride in the van. I could really use a nap. The caffeine does not seem to be working today.
I'll try to add another picture or two later today.
