Well, we are back home, but I don't think we actually have a routine! It's been a little difficult trying to manage these small people in the midst of being exhausted and trying to keep up with all the necessary things on the "to do" list (laundry, paying bills, etc). Joseph is just full of energy and is constantly keeping me busy. It is SO hot here that it really is hard to do anything outside, except for swimming. I don't like to be out in the heat too long with Jake, so we've been trying to keep ourselves entertained in the house. Oma came back with us for a few days, but has returned home. We've spent some time over the last few days with our neighbors and with JC at the pool.
Today, Brian and Joseph headed out for a day together. First a haircut, then lunch at his favorite restaurant (yes, McDonald's) and over to Disney. I'm catching up on laundry and then hopefully, will have time for a nap.
We took Jacob to have some photos done this week. Overall, I think we have some nice shots. He was a little fussy that morning and it's not very easy to get a 5 week old baby to smile for the camera! Anyway, my plan is to send them out this week. He didn't have his picture taken in the hospital either. I suppose we left so quickly, within 2 days, that they never came to our room. He's doing well, but does suffer from gas/colic. It's sad to see him so restless and upset when his tummy is bothering him. Otherwise, he's such a loveable little guy.
One week until Joseph starts school. I don't know who is more excited - him or me? :) I'm hoping he will enjoy playing with the other children and having a structured program to keep him engaged.
Well, I'm going to sign off and tackle my list of things to be done OR maybe it's a good time to snooze. Later!
