Hi! Joseph's first day of preschool was great! He was excited to use his dragon "rescue pack" and bring it to his classroom. There's only 7 children in the group and only one little girl. He jumped right in and began playing with the toys in the room. He really wasn't sad to see Brian and I leave. He gave me a hug and he found something to keep him busy!
When I went to pick him up, the preschool director told me, " I spent some time with Joseph today!" Before she could continue, I began thinking what could he have done on the first day. What am I going to do? Thankfully, she said he was a very good boy. She told me that he was a little sad during the day because he missed me but she read a book to him and he helped her with snack time. She mentioned that he had an excellent vocabulary! When I got to his classroom, the teacher said he was fine (not sad or crying) as long as he was involved in an activity. He also received some stickers today. I asked what they were for and he got one of them because he helped to clean up the toys. Surely, I thought she must be talking about another little boy. I can't get him to clean his toys at home for anything! He also did well during 'circle time' and knew his colors and answers to several of the questions. So, I think it was a really good start of his school career. However, when we got in the van, he told me that he didn't want to go back tomorrow. Oh no.
We celebrated his first day with a trip to McDonald's for lunch. Now, we're back home and just relaxing! More to come later. Check out the pictures under the post.

I hope his second day went as well or better than his first! I'm sure he'll do great as he gets to know the other kids.
