Let the blogging resume!

Dear followers,

Hope you are well! I did not realize how much time had passed since my last post. Lots of things keeping our family busy these days. I'm not sure where to start, but I'll give it a try!
We've had several visitors over the past three weeks, including my Dad (Pop Pop), my mom (Oma) and Olivia as well as Brian's mom (Grandma). We really enjoyed spending time with each of them and glad that they made the trip to see us! It's been very warm, scratch that, simply HOT here lately. We've been swimming at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Jake went down his first waterslide! Unfortunately, I was not present for this milestone but Brian seems to think he enjoyed it. I'm not so sure that I agree!
Brian and I took Olivia and Joseph to Blizzard Beach last week and everyone had a great time! Joseph found his favorite thing to do: using the rope to walk from iceberg to iceberg across the pool. He's really very good at it too! Olivia and I did some of the bigger slides, which was a real treat because I usually don't make it out of the kiddie area! However, I have decided that I will not go on the "Double Dipper" slide again. It really freaked me out and you could hear me screaming my lungs out as I headed down the slide!
The allergies are driving us all CRAZY! Jake also picked up a virus last week and he was simply miserable. He's doing much better now and he was kind enough to share his germs with me. I now have a stuffy head and nose.
The school year is winding down and Joseph is learning some new songs for his last day presentation. I can hardly wait to see it! The soccer season comes to an end this weekend and we had a 'ball' watching him play! More importantly, I know he enjoyed it too!
Jake started swimming lessons this morning. Let's just say he was not a happy camper. I enrolled him in a survival training course in which he has a one-on-one lesson with an instructor for 10 minutes each weekday. He did well for his first day although he was screaming the whole time. Here's the goal: for him to be able to float or go to the side in the event that he should ever fall in a pool by accident. It could certainly save his life and I don't think you can put a price on that!
